The Jack the Ripper Case - SOLVED (apparently)

True that! It sometimes freaks me out when I talk jtr stuff, as I realise how much I retain, as well as how much I don't know!

Is there an article amongst the adverts? The E&S now seem to have employed the same marketing tactic as the Birmingham Live website.

It’s got to the point I won’t click on links from either publication.

Of interest mainly to Lemonjelly: Mrs Lupo has in recent months been serving a guy called Russell Edwards who speaks a lot of Jack The Ripper and has written a book based mainly around the shawl in existence, allegedly worn by Wolverhampton's own Catherine Eddowes when she was murdered by JTR.

Edwards bought the shawl at auction and spoke to people at London Museum of Crime who claim that the Ripper's identity is known by Scotland Yard and its Aaron Kosminski. I know, I know!

Anyway, he gave her a signed copy of the book a couple of months back and I', currently 100-odd pages into it

Got the original book he wrote (which I think inspired @Kenny to start this thread).
For info, the "dna" evidence he claims to have found has been shown scientifically to not be as significant as he claims.
That's even before we start looking at the provenance of the shawl itself.

Edwards needs to take a close look at himself & his claims & behaviour as not long ago he also claimed that he would find Keith Bennett on the Yorkshire moors. Unsurprisingly these claims also turned out to be bollocks.

There's a fantastic book by Rob House on kosminski. Also, John malcolm wrote a book titled "another dead end?" Which is brilliant explaining why Anderson & the police favour kosminski, but is hard to find as think it was privately published.

Yes when she first started seeing him he would speak of his claims of finding Keith Bennett - if I didn't know better I'd think he was trying to pull her!

He comes across as a bit of a prick tbh. After his 1st book he tried selling the shawl for £1million. No takers, hence the new book I guess.

His behaviour re Keith Bennett is despicable (spoken in my best sylvester the cat voice)
