The " Honey I'm home and I'm bloody starving , what's for dinner " Thread.

I do indeed work on the business team at Travelodge. Was in London yesterday (and again today) meeting a corporate client who spend half a million with us each year. Let’s say the publicity over the last week or so hasn’t done us many favours…

😐
Our UK HQ is literally over the road from that place, we have had a total ban in place since it came out. I've had female members of my team stay there, its pretty shocking.

Yeah, a horrible set of circumstances for all involved. It’s currently at CEO level and I believe she is meeting with MP’s to openly talk about policies etc.

Clearly this is irrelevant in the wider scheme of things, but the number of people that have come forward since the news broke to say the same has happened to them at different hotel chains both in the UK and abroad is crazy!

I’ve had multiple people walk into my hotel rooms over the years. Thankfully no consequences.

Today its roast chicken, stuffing, little potatoes, sprouts, peas, green beans, roast parsnip and a baked onion. Followed by Apple and BlackBerry pie and cream.😊

An absolutely stunning meal.

Croquetas and patata bravas followed by paella del mar.

Is the plate nearest camera in the top shot the bravas?

Looks a fantastic interpretation of the dish visually if so. Never seen it like that before. Colour me properly both intrigued and inspired to go hunting the recipe.

Yes mate. The bravas were slices of sauted potato that were layered and then the sauces added (salsa and alioli). The first time I had that intepretation of bravas myself. They were fantastic.

Bit of a random one but was at a coffee stop yesterday where the coffee is normally well below par, so gave up this time and ordered a bovril instead. Someone recommended adding a few twists from the black peppercorn grinder and wow!!!

No idea if that’s a recognised thing or not but what a flavour. Where have you been all my life.

Just remembered the crazy incident where he tried a Vegetable Oxo or something as the shop had no Bovril (or he went woke).

Disaster of a game that was.

Bovril and a bit of pepper is a great drink.

My Dad used to take a flask of that to every home game.
My mum (and subsequently myself) would make bovril with 'onion water'. Basically a chopped onion in water bought to the boil and add Bovril to taste. Delicious.
