The " Honey I'm home and I'm bloody starving , what's for dinner " Thread.

Back in the Midlands for a bit, so it would be rude not to have a box of battered chips.

Tasted alright at least...
Anywhere better you'd recommend?

Pep's Plaice opposite the Oddfellows does good battered chips

When I was working in Jakarta for 3 months, I had a meal like that.
I had 2 translators working for me and they stopped eating theirs to watch me as I peeled the heads, legs and shells off my giant prawns...
They picked up 1 each and put the whole fucking thing in their mouths and sat there crunching away!
You've all seen the yellow shit that oozes out when you squeeze the heads right...?

@Hereford Wolf

Nearly three months on now :D But just reminded me when you posted in the Farage thread. Had an absolutely stupendous meal at The Bookshop in your home town back in August.

If you haven't been (and I imagine you have), absolutely do. Not the cheapest but it really is one where you don't begrudge it.

It was incredible.

Love the open kitchen vibe too and the staff were great.

Went over to Deli 64 near Mol earlier. Malik's butchers I think is the proper name

Top notch grub

Thanksgiving lunch
Turkey-less roast
Roast potatoes, carrots, sweet potatoes, parsnips, red onion, yellow onion
Boiled cauliflower, broccoli, carrots, peas, sweetcorn
Mushroom gravy, cranberry sauce, cornbread
Apple pie in an hour, followed by round 2 later.

Gorgonzola spread on baguette slices, with figs and sliced pears and a glass of Port.

Now that's pretty posh for me!
