The " Honey I'm home and I'm bloody starving , what's for dinner " Thread.

I have the luxury of being able to buy 5% mince as I don’t have to cater for a vegetarian. The standard basic mince beef is rank.
I always buy the 5% fat mince (ground for the benefit of Alan😉) beef.

Back when I used to buy actual real mince I'd always pay the extra if possible - don't compromise on stuff like that as you'll only regret it down the line for the sake of a couple of quid.

To be honest though it's been a happy accident that I've cut down my meat consumption out of necessity (as fuck cooking separate meals every day, and it's me that cooks so it's my choice) - feel much healthier for it. Nothing stopping me doing steak and chips whenever I feel like it of course, but I'm probably plant based now 4 days out of 7 at least, and have fish more regularly than red meat on the other days.

Minced Beef? yes ok. That's it. Ok.
Minced Lamb?
Far superior taste and flavour.
Don't be snobby... use minced lamb for your Spag Bol.

He said Spag Bol not fucking Moussaka.

Lamb has no place anywhere near a bolognese sauce. It makes it a different dish.

Always.

Tbf there could have been some there.. I did ask what one thing was, after I’d eaten it, and was told lung. Decided not to ask after that.

Which city are you in? Trying to work out which sub-cuisine of Chinese you are getting to enjoy? Doesn’t look Szechuan

I’m in Dalian, not far from North Korea. My knowledge of Chinese cuisine is pretty sketchy so no lt sure if it’s representative

Google tells me you are in the heart of Shandong cuisine. Seafood and especially scallops should be amazing.

Plus lamb mince obviously

There were definitely scallops last night, they were very good. The deep fried oyster was awful.

What's Chinese for "Any Salad Cream?".

Asking for a friend.
