Gripping end to Sherwood, going to be a second series - presume another case for David Morrissey rather than a continuation of this story which has been wrapped up

I wonder if they'll go down the same route as The Wire.

More about the cover up and degradation of the forces around the mining community and what happens to the characters, which are incredibly well drawn.

The crimes are almost incidental to the characters themselves.

It's great story telling.

That sort of stuff is just way too corny / macho for me. And to be honest while I don’t mind suspending belief for stuff I just found a lot of it daft. Just not my thing.

That's why I like it. The books are the same, no depth, just good old fashioned, empty headed pulp. No thought required on any level.

It’s the “Hey I’m from Boston we do everything by the book, you’re still a suspect, oh you’ve killed two men and want to hide the bodies so it doesn’t hinder the investigation you’re involved in that I said you weren’t involved in because you’re a suspect for murder, and I’ll just ignore the two murders you’ve committed”.

I’d need to have lost the ability to think to be able to overlook that sort of shit. I don’t mind mindless stuff but that’s just too far.

That’s exactly why I like true books too. It’s also the reason I can never remember where I am up to in the series, none of it sticks.

Was I the only person who enjoyed the Sex Pistols series, they were one of the bands I listened to and got talked about alot when I was in school (they were a more than few years before me) but still held a pretty big influence on us growing up.

I was fairly familiar with the story but was nice to see it fleshed out a bit, for a manufactured band of nobodies who couldn't play or sing and only released one album in the short time they were a 'band' its crazy how much influence they have had on music.

It's on Disney+ it had been a while since I thought I knew the story. I don't think it's meant to be 100% accurate but obviously based around the events and seemed to largely follow what I knew.

The message throughout the film was that they couldn't play but it was the energy and message they delivered that mattered. Pretty much how I feel about music, else we would all have given up at Beethoven and just listened to that forever.

Really enjoying the second series of Outlaws on BBC. Seemed a lot of build up to the first series and then the second was just quietly realised on iPlayer recently.

The acting was hammy and the truth twisted too far eg Chrissie Hynde and Steve Jones' made up relationship, the ditching of Matlock was made up. I'm with Lydon, if you are going to do it, do it properly. As s piece of television fiction it was alright as a biopic of the Pistols not

Just watched episodes 8 and 9 back to back and certainly didn't feel like four hours worth of TV. So, so good.

Such a good final 2 episodes to the series. Brilliant, rollercoaster ride viewing. Wonder if Metallica and Siouxsie will get a resurgence as big as Kate Bush has had! Spellbound in the end credits was great and Master of Puppets, what needs to be said? Great scene.

As much as I'd love to see Master of Puppets hit number one I seriously doubt it To be fair though Metallica are still pretty huge as it is anyway.

The more I think about those final two episodes the more I realise just how much I fucking loved them, it was an absolute rollercoaster like you say and there aren't many series around these days that actually do that. Season 5 should be amazing to wrap it all up and there are rumblings of a spin off which would be good.

As the average Metallica tour grosses over £200m I doubt they are in the poor house. If Stranger Things means that newer fans realise there was life before the black album then that will be a GOOD THING
