The Goggle Box Thread

Watched the Netflix documentary about Pele, worth seeing.
Some vintage football whilst also questioning his political position (or rather complete lack of one) when Brazil was under a military dictatorship.
Shock to see him in a wheelchair suppose he has been out of the public eye for a while and is 80.

One criticism despite going through his career and all what he achieved, it completely failed to mention his greatest performance which as we all know was in Escape to Victory.

1,279 goals in 1,363 games, he could believe in Satan and be married to a goat I wouldn't care :)

Bit late but we have watched The Serpent over 3 nights this week, an excellent series and very gripping. What a story about evil Charles Sobrahj and very well acted.

There is a lot of jumping back and forth timrwise but this added to it and ensured that things happening throughout this complex tale made sense as the time hopping explained who people were, eg.how many times we saw the guy falling down and hitting his head by the pool or the girl vomiting as she ate her meal.

Jenna Coleman plays Sobrahj's lover and accomplice, a stunning looking lady and pulled off the French Canadian language and accent very well for a lass from Blackpool.

We even had Lord Percy playing a Belgian!

Excellent thriller, thoroughly recommend it whilst still available on catch up.

I’ve just watched the newsroom through again (sky box sets), I absolutely love that show.

If you look at the bottom right it's on a bike, so I was right all along they are all a load of .......... :)

Currently watching The Terror on BBC2.
Ridley Scott's drama about Franklin's doomed expedition to the Arctic

Yeah I'm watching that....read Michael Palins book last year which covered the Terror and the Erebus from inception till they were rediscovered in 2014

Well, the boss of Marvel is non-committal on that front. Something to do with the movie/TV tie-ins not being written yet. I guess it's all in the hands of the writers.

I'd like to know what happened to WV.

It's all part of the MCU. As the previous films led to this series the coming ones will take it on. The whole MCU really is a phenomenal feat of filmmaking.

They basically did House of M comic with some nuances. It was brilliant and just how I hoped it would be.

I can't see there being a S2. They've said they're open to it because the fans have loved it, mainly because there's been no MCU for ages and also because it's been really good (first two episodes aside).

Before the pandemic we would have had Black widow last March and Falcon & The Winter Soldier in August. The pandemic put paid to those two, but they have nothing to do with the Multiverse.

This has always been planned as the trilogy opening up the Multiverse. WandaVision is the first of the three projects.

Next comes Spiderman: No Way Home in December, then Dr Strange: Multiverse Of Madness next March. They all tie in with WandaVision, with Wanda appearing in Dr Strange MoM.

I'm definitely looking forward to Dr Strange 2 the most out of that lot for more Scarlet Witch and Sorcery.
