It’s utter madness if you have players on PL wages and there’s a chance you’ll end up paying those salaries in L1. I’m sure they thought they’d be challenging for a return to the PL, which again is utter madness when you’ve got Skipp and Winks in midfield.
It's mad the amount of money PL clubs get and yet most clubs in there or those recently relegated still survive by the skin of their teeth like gambling addicts
Parachute payments are good in principle, to ease the financial burden of being outside the PL.
Unfortunately clubs instead use it as a war chest to get back up.
