Troy Deeneys agent threatening FGRs owner with legal action for saying yesterday that forest green sacked Troy because he threatened to punch a referee, agent says this is a lie, Troy never said that.

Forest green release referees and FA report where Troy admits he did say that.

There's shades of the pre 2024 Barton. Tough background, more eloquent than the average footballer, but thinks that makes him some sort of philosopher. Louis Theroux did a good podcast episode with him where he spoke about his upbringing

It's an odd one. There are elements of my background that don't match what I am now but that probably applies to dozens of people on here in a small community.

It doesn't give you carte blanche to be a fucking knobhead (mileage varies on whether I am or not, if you read the replies to my "let's not thank Fosun too much for not quite losing £100m" Twitter post)
