Liverpool’s match going fans are by no means the worse I’ve seen, they have some social media keyboard warriors as do a lot of clubs.
Since this article was written I’d say I’ve seen worse behaviour by at least 15 sets of supporters some of whom were from much smaller clubs.
To sum up Cambridge caused a lot of issues in 2008 as have Cardiff on countless occasions, Port Vale in 2014 were appalling.
Bristol City numerous incidents also.

There are stories from the 70s and 80s that were awful. They were the original 'got the time mate' team and also brought casual culture to the UK by robbing stuff on the continent during European trips Kappa, Sergio Tacchini, Ellesse etc. No doubt they were one of the worst fan bases back then, just all a bit ridiculous pinning other stuff on them which has proven to be incorrect or misconstrued.

No set of fans are squeaky clean which is why it’s very comical when people become very sanctimonious about the behaviour of other clubs fans.

What does this mean?

They'd stop you and ask the time. If you didn't answer in a Scouse accent, they'd assume you were an away supporter and beat you up.
Ah, lovely.

Ironic too given how large a % of non Scouse fans they have.

This article is 17 years old so not sure you can use it in a objective manner as a hell of a lot changes in that period, to add an organisation headed by Platini should not be classed as a reliable source either.
Sure, let's re-write history. Some of us were there, some of us actually witnessed what they were capable of. Absolutely no accountability for their actions and today's woke crowd just want to brush it under the carpet.

Laughable. Let's excuse what they did then shall we?

Back in those days the vast majority of their fans would have been Scousers. It's only since Sky TV and the advent of the Premiership being televised worldwide that fan bases for all clubs have widened considerably.

Yep that’s exactly what I said, but you’re judging the majority on the basis of the behaviour of the minority.
You just come across really bitter.

You haven't got a fucking clue what they were like.

Back in those days, every team had it's hooligan army, admitted some were shout and run, but the majority came for the fight as well as the football.

Do you think Wolves fans acted like angels with full accountability in the 1980's when we swamped smaller towns and clubs in the lower leagues?

Do you think Scarbrough fans looked back fondly on their first day back in the Football League?

It was endemic. A Leeds fan was killed at Blues.

I don't brush anything under the carpet but nor do I put any singular club on a pedestal as the worst.

We had our share of morons. However, I don't remember any of our dickheads being partly blame for the deaths of others.
I was at Scarborough and sure there were plenty of antics going on, however, comparing that to what Liverpool did in Europe is small change. Liverpool were by far the worst in my opinion. I'll leave it at that.
