The world cup is still in progress, but the qualifying for the Europa League has begun.

So SISU still haven't paid money long since due, money that they were bound to pay under the terms of their move to Northampton going ahead. Meanwhile the Football League just lets them get on with it.

Great stuff. Might maybe be an idea to insist on some kind of a tangible update from SISU on that return, then? Given that they currently own no land in the Coventry area, have submitted no applications for planning permission, have commissioned no feasability surveys, and so on. And given that the timescale was three years, and we're already through one of them.

I don't know why they are just being allowed to get away with destroying the club. My wife's uncle had been a Coventry ST holder for years before they moved to Northampton. He now thinks the club he has supported all his life won't even exist in a couple of years. Very sad.

Champions League as well.

Result of the Night - Lincoln Red Imps 1 HB Tórshavn 1

Lincoln are Gibralters first ever Champions League representative (god knows where the inspiration for their team name comes from.....)

Paddy Kenny has returned for pre-season just a little bit overweight:

Cellino is not impressed.

Airbus UK.

I'm guessing Welsh? They're taking on Norwegian minnows FK Haugesund tonight in the EL!

They are. I think our very own Kenny has played against them.

I will pass that pointless info on to Grindhaug, the manager of Haugesund!

Thanks.A celebrity in our midst eh? :)

Btw who's that miserable looking git in your avatar?

Paddy Considine. I look like him apparently (minus beard).

That's a scene from Dead Man's Shoes which is one of my favourite films ever.

Haven't seen that movie, will have to put it on my to-watch-list.It's a very short list!

Norway, Deutsch has a thing about look-a-like avatars, the previous one was uncanny :)

Alan, not going swimmingly for Stabæk atm.

Fontanello left after two months, then they sold a talent (Thorsby) to some Dutch club and now they've lost Enoch Adu to Malmø FF (he was on loan from Brugge).
Add to that 4 defeats in a row....will be an uphill battle!

Vanishing spray to be used in the Champions League next season and to be considered by Premier League clubs, how soon before the Championship follows suit?

The Premier League has already said it doesn't have a problem with encroachment in its league.

I don't know,it was odd watching matches with no spray here in the Norwegian league this weekend tho. There is talk of starting to use it here as well. We'll probably use Gillette shaving foam!

They don't. The PL uses the big name players can stand where the fuck they want rule (this rule was first used by Fernando Torres when at Liverpool and was soon adopted by the League)
