Couldn’t really keep up today and it did seem particularly chaotic but as a Norris man I’m getting a bit miffed at all the missed chances.

Until the final safety car it was madness.

The red flag ruined Lando's race but not a clue why they had pitted him when they did but then Ferrari and Merc did the same.

Max was just Max at his finest today. Head down rather than the petulant child act. Was stuck a little until Ferrari, McLaren and Merc made pit stops and again after the rolling start behind Ocon but once he took the lead he was in a league of his own. Title properly nailed down today.

Final grid will change due to numerous steward investigations against Lando, George, Lewis and a few others. Why the stuff from the start needs to wait until after the race I don't know.

Didn't really enjoy the race with all the flags and stops and starts but fair play to Max, very good drive. Unfortunately that's that for the drivers Championship, if it was ever on, shame it couldn't be a bit closer going into the final 3 races.

Of course they will, but facts are facts - they all moved.
But they didn't. Half a dozen of them including Verstappen stayed put because they knew the rules. I expect everyone that went to get some form of penalty.

Amazing summary, thank you 👍

Bernie says the pit was right to be on fresh inters as they were gaining 5 seconds a lap on max. And were right behind him on when the SC came out. If Colapinto doesn’t bin it under the SC then they sail past him on the restart and he probably has to make is way back through the pack.

That ends Llando's championship effort barring a couple of DNFs for Max.

Fair play to Max he passed plenty of cars early on and they made the right call to stay out before the red flag.

At the time she was actually amazed, certainly when Charles pitted, they didn't put full wet tyres on instead of new inters.

As an aside, the addition of Bernie Collins has been the best thing Sky has done for their F1 coverage in years.

Proper insight into the decision making processes for strategy, tyres/stops, and how the regulations work, from someone who's actually done the job. She's brilliant.

Think full wets was the play. Perez was making up tons of time. But fresh inters still better than worn…

Basically the pit was correct. Max not pitting was more luck than judgement as a car crashed under SC!

I usually have more fun looking at the big boats in the harbour every lap.

They have even moved it from the last weekend in May which takes the only good bit of thinking "at least the Indy 500 will be decent later" away.

Somethings becoming a tradition in F1

Perez going out in Q1
A Williams car getting destroyed.

Max a 4 time World Champion. Early part of the season key for him but since the McLaren, Ferrari and Merc closed the gap he has been consistent with getting his car up the front.

5th place today but Norris in 6th.

Win for George and Lewis will be annoyed he borked up in quali. Rapid from him today to finish 2nd from 10th but his tyres went off as he closed George down.

The Vegas race is a decent watch.

It's a bloody good circuit for a street and lets face it 200mph down the strip is in forever and will become iconic.

I read the interview with Max this week where he said no way he would go on to 40 like Fernando and Lewis, and also was surprisingly frank about Jos the wifebeater v Horner the sex pest (stick a couple of allegedly in there obviously or we are all going to hell in a handcart), and also the loss of Newey. The overall flavour still suggested he thinks maybe one more season at Red Bull and then it will be either Merc or Ferrari (?? - depending on Lewis as Leclerc is ironclad there for years) or maybe even McLaren. Next season they will be good but no Newey into the new regs and I expect a weaker Red Bull overall. Now Max is one of the three exceptional talents in the line-up (with Lewis and Alonso) but I imagine he will want to keep with the best equipment as both will head to retirement fairly soon.

Good race, slight anti climax for me with Vegas - doesn't quite have the fan engagement for my liking but I'm probably alone in that. By way of street circuits it's a good track though.

I reckon next year will be tighter. Problem seems to be from the chasing pack being consistent, but it may matter less next year if Red Bull's form carries on from where it is at the moment. My assumption is they may have stopped developing this car too early in the season for the benefit of next however.

I thought everyone sort of had to stop developing 2025 after a certain point even this year as they need the budget headroom for the 2026 new regs? I could be wrong on that, but it rings a bell that the teams were saying that.

Guessing RB will have a 2nd driver that can at least be close to Max
