I will be really pissed if they take the win from Max. That is racing for God's sake.

For me it should be a penalty. They were alongside each other all round the corner and Max pushed him all 4 wheels off the track.

Put it this way, if that was Monaco and a driver pushed another driver over the track limits and into the wall round a corner like that, everybody would be foaming at the mouth for a penalty.

I've got a feeling they won't do anything, but if the they are being consistent with the rules, they should.

What a brilliant race, for me that’s just a racing incident so hopefully no penalty. So pleased for Norris and what a drive from Sainz too! Gasly on the other hand is fucking terrible - lapped by his teammate who won the race and he’s in 7th.

Exactly. Lots of people comparing it to Canada but Vettel went off the track there, that's the difference. Max could've got past slightly more cleanly which irritates me slightly but it is nowhere near bad enough to punish him.

Allowing drivers to complete overtakes by pushing drivers off track isn't helping the sport. If he'd given Leclerc room, he'd have been able to come back at him all the way down to the next corner and beyond. More exciting racing can be had by making them do clean overtakes, not by allowing them to completely close the door on drivers and removing any opportunity.

The best moments in this race were when both drivers were competing and hustling each other trying to get by through several corners. If you just make it a sport of stuffing it up the inside on a corner then pushing the car off track round the outside, you're making it a much less interesting, much less exciting, and crucially a much less fair fight.

The right decision, however disappointing it is a way to decide a GP. For all the reasons above.

BBC just tweeted 5 sec pen for Max but then deleted it. If he has that penalty then Leclerc has won

Some prick mocking up a fake FIA statement by the looks of it.

Yep

No further action on Verstappen/Leclerc. The stewards "did not consider that either driver was wholly or predominantly to blame for the incident. We consider that this is a racing incident."

I'm getting very excited about Silverstone this weekend. Never been to a GP before, got very good tickets at Becketts too

sound like right cunts
1st sign of that came when Williams had agreed a deal with them last year. All done and they set up a press conference for the signing of the deal.

Moments before it was due to happen they found out they had agreed and signed a deal with Haas.

It was absolutely fucking sensational last year. A brilliant day out.

We were at Stowe last year, stunning view of the Hangar Straight and saw all of Hamilton's moves as he charged back up the field. Becketts is a great spot for seeing how the hell these machines corner though. Rather jealous.

Be aware it is a VERY long trot from the main entrances near the pit straight and the main car parks to get round to Becketts. Allow a decent amount of time to get there.

Also - make sure you get there really early if you can. The undercard races are always entertaining, and the Red Arrows are bound to be about and you get a great view of them from the Becketts stands. We got there for the end of final F1 practice last year.

Final thing - if the sun is out you will burn to fuck. There is absolutely NO shelter at Silverstone unless you are in the Wellington Straight or old Pit Straight stands. It can be a furnace.

Absolutely sensational spot. Scarcely believable to see the changes of direction at that speed. Definitely take in a practice session at Copse too.

Thanks both. Aiming to get there for FP1 and see everything from then on. Tickets came with car park passes for car park bear Becketts too.

Definitely plan to do some wandering - Copse looks like a great spot, so will aim for there at FP2.

I'm stupidly excited :)
