The Definitive TWF Present Day XI - CM VOTING NOW OPEN

Have I ever done any different?? :icon_lol:

Seriously though, he'd be my first choice RB in an all-Prem side. I think he's excellent, aside from the years he threw on the cursed #7.

In the pub at the minute with some Man Utd fans and one has genuinely just said that Cafu is the best right back ever, but Valencia is pushing him close. Unfortunately he wasn't joking

Slightly on topic - is their a more one footed, right footed player than Valencia?

Dani Alves
Juanfran
Kyle Walker

Dani Carvajal
Dani Alves
Kyle Walker

I'm sure you could find one. But Valencia's unwillingness to use his left foot is part of why he makes a better fullback than winger.

Dani Alves - 34
Dani Carvajal - 27
Juanfran - 15
Kyle Walker - 7
Serge Aurier - 2
Danilo - 2
Antonio Valencia - 2
Danilo D'Ambrosio - 1

On to left backs and everyone knows the drill now. Mods, the usual please.

David Alaba
Marcelo
Alex Sandro

Yeah, I know Alaba hasn't played all that much at LB lately. But he is a natural there, he's played hundreds of games in that position and I want him there. Plus I don't like Marcelo on a personal level and it gives me an excuse to boot Jordi Alba, the fucking prick.

Guerreiro came close too, quality player. Hector not far off.

David Alaba
Marcelo
Filipe Luis

Alaba is one of my favourite footballers. You could play him anywhere!

Alaba has regressed somewhat in the past couple of seasons after being shunted around between left back, centre half and central midfield.

Disagree, he was magnificent in Pep's last season pretty much every time I watched them. That Bayern team was ridiculously good and it's a shame they didn't win the CL that year, team who could play multiple systems in one game and do it almost flawlessly. They were pretty unlucky in that game against Aletico, where Alaba did make quite a costly mistake in the end.

Last year maybe not as great but still think he plays at such a high level. Ancelotti is very different with what he asks and where Alaba will have been used to playing all three roles in one game, depending on the state of the game, where the ball is, what the opposition are doing I think Ancelotti likes it a lot simpler and maybe Alaba is still adjusting back to that. Both different managers, equally as good in their own ways.

Jordi Alba
Cesar Azpilicueta
Raphaël Guerreiro

Azpi gets in there due to being an 7/8 out of 10 every single week. Guerreiro will be the best left back in the world in 3-4 years time. HUGE talent. Went for Alba over Alaba and ran out of room to fit in Marcelo.
