The Darts Thread

Our Japanese friend has 54 left with 2 darts in his hand. Goes for 14 to leave tops, but hits 11. Thinks and tries to work out how much he has left.....for thirty seconds. Rather than hitting 3 to leave tops, he hits 12, when going for 9 that he has just calculated will leave him double 16, presumably because he can't work out that 43-9 is actually 34. It's pathetic.

Perhaps they do it opposite in the Southern Hemisphere...like water down the plughole.
 
Just read that in 2007 the top six BDO seeds were Van Gerwen, Adams, Anderson, Klaasen, King and Whitlock. That's a crazy drop off in eight years, no-one bar maybe Wesley Harms or Scott Waites (who will never move over) in this year's entire tournament would make a mark on the PDC.
 
Hoping Gary can do the business tonight, if he keeps his doubles anywhere near the 50% of last night i think he does.
 
Did Taylor just say VDV is the best dutch player?? There's some right shit that comes out of his mouth.
 
It never used to start this late??
 
I can remember Taylor v Gregory was a 6.30 start back in the day.

VDV is nowhere near the best ever Dutch player Phil! That was a little dig at Barney, I guess.

Come on Gary Anderson, you can win this.

Don't forget that Bunting has come over and been very successful, but he is a league above any of the rubbish there this year. Waites and Harms are the two best BDO players for me. Fitton and O'Shea are over the hill, and I have never rated Martyn Phillips at all. Norris is Kirk Shepherd level. And I refuse to even recognise the cowardly shyster Adams until he plays in the grand slam.
 
Lovely Shanghai to start from Gary. Should settle the nerves.
 
Phil very good in the second leg and 180-tastic from Anderson in the third. Looks like this is going to be quality.
 
And a 121 to hold. Great start Gary. Keep the pressure on now.
 
Great first set. He has dealt with Phil's little plan of giving the throw to hope to deal with early nerves, so that is very encouraging.
 
If Taylor doesn't start hitting a few ton plus finishes, he isn't going to win it. Hasn't done it all tournament but hasn't played anyone anywhere near this good.
 
Taylor equalises. A little fortunate that Anderson missed the 82, but he put it away.
 
Gary should have pinched that. Taylor being a dick for a change.
