Cross/Littler will be an interesting match up. He’s some player, though.

Could be the first World Champion who wasn't even alive when it was held at The Circus Tavern.

He is incredible but worth pointing out that it's a pretty gentle run so far. Kist, Gilding, Campbell, Barney (15 years past his best) and Dolan is not the most testing. Cross is the first he'll face who you fancy could dominate scoring at some stage.

Sky Sports are mentioning him every 10 minutes. Let’s hope he doesn’t end up another Kirk Shepherd.

That Shepherd run was incredibly weird. Done nothing before, did nothing after. Everyone kept missing match darts against him then he got Mardle in the SF and he'd burned himself out mentally beating Taylor. Shepherd never even averaged 90 in a single match all the way through.

Edit: Part almost ended up winning by default despite being way past his best. After that in the Worlds he (Part) went R1, R2, R1, QF, R2, R2, R1 and was done by 2015.

I saw John Part beating him in the final on a PDC show last night. Shepherd looked rubbish.
