Fallon Sherrock withdraws from BDO Women's championship.

She's on her way to the PDC then...
 
A wild card into the Premier League?
 
She's already been given several tournaments by the PDC for next year.
 
Shambles if she gets into PL. She’d get destroyed every week. She averaged like 90 and got through because she beat an average player and Mensur buckled under the pressure.

She’s a decent player but let’s not take a spot from someone like Nathan Aspinall just because she’s female.

She needs to do Q school like everyone else.
 
Aye, she won like two games. People like Jamie Lewis have had better runs than that before and I didn't see them getting a spot.

The thing is that the actual top end of the game isn't all that good right now in terms of quality or crowd draw (as much as Barney hasn't been good for ages, he was still very popular), Smith is a bottler, so is Chizzy, Anderson and Wade are clearly on the slide and will probably only go one way from here, Cross is going to tumble down the rankings in the next week as all his title win money drops off, A Lewis will probably never get back to where he was, White has always been a bit of a jobber. You've still got Shitlock and Cullen in the top 16 and they're nothing like top level. Van den Bergh has all the talent you could ask for but he perpetually hovers around 30 in the rankings for a reason. Dobey and Durrant haven't done enough consistently yet.

They could do with scaling back the tournament as it is, if the standard isn't there then don't shoehorn 10 players in. Plus it gets bloody boring after a while with games that don't really mean all that much :icon_lol:

Play Q School, get through (some real crap gets through, so if you're a decent player you should make it) and go from there.

She's done the right thing in pulling out of the BDO, mind. She made £25k from those two wins. It's only £8k to win the whole thing at the 02, if you're at the peak of marketability then don't throw it away by potentially losing to some nobody in front of 300 people.

It certainly looks that way? Standard hasn't been as awful as I've seen in the past, however I've never heard of either of these chaps.

The o2 looks like a PDC tour venue, if I was Barry Hearn I’d host a televised Player’s Championship event at the lakeside

Yep, they looked crap also, wires are usually embedded these days and some of these were protruding noticeably.

Serious sound issues in the Eurosport production too, barely hear the presenter or announcements on stage.

There was an Aussie on earlier who claimed to be 50. I think he must have been to the same passport agency as Kanu
