To winApparently Root has become one of only 3 batsmen to have scored a century in the 4th innings of a Test at Lords.
The others being Nasser and Greenidge.
Hope you didn't lose too muchJust seen the conditions. NZ @ 3/1 is good value
I didn't bet. Wales to qualify and Bale to score is all I have todayHope you didn't lose too much
I saw the weather forecast last night and had a little insurance wager. Delighted to have lost it and will hopefully help me from being gubbed.Hope you didn't lose too much
I think they'll close it off as a loophole pretty quickly. Realistically you can't do that in a competitive game. I mean we still live in a world where if a bowler gets injured and it's not concussion you can't replace him (cost us vs Aus in 2019 and arguably cost NZ this weekend), let alone having a batsman just effectively sub himself off because someone else on the sidelines will do better. The tub retires out because he couldn't get the spinner away in the last over. Davies comes in and scores 14 off 4 balls. Good captaincy I suppose? Then Notts need 3 off the last ball and none striker Fat Sam retires for a faster runner. They got 1. It's going to be a trend now I think
I think you know very well it has nothing to do with the game but the audience it reaches.Great entertainment in Roses game. What does the “hundred” improve on this?
And surely that’s just from the channel it’s on?I think you know very well it has nothing to do with the game but the audience it reaches.
Of course. And surely that’s just from the channel it’s on?
If it gets more people watching cricket and playing at club level I'm all for it.The audience it gets through subsidised tickets, fta TV coverage and preferential scheduling...
