Swallow our pride and sack Edwards

In terms of people who need sacking at this club, he's not even in the top 10.

That's not the same thing as him deserving his job, but fuck me the rot goes deep.

Agree.

Obviously it won’t happen. But it should. That was an outrageous managerial performance. Nearly 80 minutes up, still 5 at the back and Hoever playing. Shameful.

He’s incompetent, I don’t even know why we went there tbh. We could have hired some random off the street to do the same job and saved ourselves £4m. The clubs a joke.

Never wanted him, his tactics and team selections are awful but no point sacking him now, however he most definitely shouldn't be the man in charge when we kick off in the Championship.

Liverpool (A)
Man Utd (A)
West Ham (H)
Everton (A)

We will lose all of those games.

Then it's Shrewsbury in the cup, which we could also lose, then a run of Newcastle (H), Man City (A), Bournemouth (H) and Chelsea (H).

Taking us to mid-Feb.

When I think we will have no choice but to sign off on yet another managerial disaster and change it again.

So when we lose these next two away games - that’s 8/8. Does he really get to January?

He shouldnt, its not just the losses, its the manner of them, just abject.
Dont think he will get the boot though.I think the incompetence is still all over the club despite Shi's sacking.

I think so simply because there's too much of the season left and a new manager (if we can get one!) will be tainted by relegation. Leave it until Easter at the earliest then a new manager will have time to assess the squad but won't be expected to turn anything around before the summer. As compensation and to try and show they do actually give the merest toss Fosun should refund half of all season tickets as suggested by @Del Woppio.

Terry Connor got 4 points from 13 games and he was given a terrible hand, didn't want the job, was a caretaker left holding the bag. You just felt bad for the bloke. Had us playing OK in a couple of games too even if only for a half. Edwards is going to do far, far worse than that. Even Nathan Jones got a win, it's not a free hit for Edwards there should be consequences. There's a good chance he never gets a point, and then he goes down as the worst Premier League manager ever in addition to us being the worst team and that will hurt his career. We're an awful squad but his tactics and selections aren't helping. But if we sacked him now anyone we get in will be tainted by the losses and relegation. Another new manager isn't going to survive months of losses on the spin. It also hurts their credibility for a rebuild.

Probably just need to bear with it and get someone new in for the summer to usher in a refresh.

The new man if Fosun get a competent man in charge will want his own man in. Can't keep losing games and seeing Edwards making changes on the 80th minute every week. Like Rob as a bloke but he's out of his depth sadly. I don't want him in charge for the transfer window sadly.

I'm not even kidding here. Get Wrexham to release Conor Coady (they don't want him, don't want to be paying him and he doesn't want to be there) and he can be player/manager.

I'd rather Coady wasn't tarnished by this group tbh.

It's without doubt the worst group I've seen assembled at a football club. At least we've had some reasonable players during previous relegations, this lot are just grim.

Keep him in place to guarantee zero points for the rest of the season. Let Fosun suffer the maximum derision, humiliation etc they deserve.

Love this. Seconded by me.

Someone who actually gives a fuck.

What we could have done with a few Conor Coady’s in our side this year - rather than the gutless, spineless, cowardly cunts we’ve somehow ended up with.

Jody Craddock, George Elokobi, Stephen Ward. These kind of characters would have us at least nominally in with a fight as we approach January. Not very good footballers at PL level but they got everything out of their ability and fought to the last minute.

Instead there's nothing.

Exactly. We’re Wolves fans - we’ve grown up without having world beaters in our teams.

But the very minimum you expect is a bit of fight, effort, pride and respect for the thousands turning up each week spending fortunes to support you.

These fucking pathetic, entitled, lazy, wanker cowards are an embarrassment.

I don’t care if I don’t see another current Wolverhampton Wanderers player (or coaching staff) ever again.

Has a manager ever come out publicly and said "look, I just don't have enough good players" during a season?

I can't think of any reason, other than making us *ahem* 'hard to beat' that he sticks with this timid line up. Try something different, man! Go on the attack from the kick off and maybe get beaten by a cricket score, but at least try something! I think we might accept that far more than rolling over and having our belly tickled every game. This safety-first (yes, I know) approach isn't winning you any fans, and certainly isn't winning you any points.

Feel kinda bad for the bloke (yes yes, I know) - he took a risk in coming to Wolves. Did he know how bad the players are? Maybe. He got criticised for taking the job, but took it anyway. Maybe it's because he loves Wolves, maybe it's because he was offered a barrow load of cash, or maybe Old Shi guaranteed him the chance to rebuild. We might never know.
