Leo goes to shoot, but a defender gets a touch on it to make the shot go well wide

Picked up a bit towards the end of the half but overall this has felt a fair bit like a friendly so far. Sunderland have defended well, but at the same time we haven't pressed them too hard. Get the feeling we've barely got out of neutral, let alone first gear.

Not a great game Sunderland parking the bus but a few half openings Bonatini on particular should have done better. Sunderland have worked very very hard to press can't see them keeping that up. Jota fairly quiet so far Neves running the show.

End of the half - Sunderland have frustrated us - 9 man defence & not enough movement up front for us

Absolute stalemate - we need to either move the ball quicker or take some longer range shots when the opportunity arises
