A good point, forcefully made.
double entry error. kept saying problem posting, try again......so i did !!!A good point, forcefully made.
Didn't we get decent money for some right dross when Nuno came in and we had a clear out?Jeff doesn't exactly have a good history of extracting value out of sales tbf
No one is going to defend that or the dross that's been served up over the last few months It's where you apportion the blame and what to do about it It's too simplistic to heap all the shit on lageLooking forward to anyone trying to defend that. “But we’re 9th?”
Sorry about the numbers of replies Fingers were trembling after watching the gameNo one is going to defend that or the dross that's been served up over the last few months It's where you apportion the blame and what to do about it It's too simplistic to heap all the shit on lage
I'm going against the grain a little here, but I'm not sure such a severe rebuild is required. (as in the talk of getting rid of around 8-10 players)
The players clearly don't want to play for Lage anymore, a new manager would change that - you'd hope.
So whilst Hwang, Boly and Saiss aren't good enough and need replacing, i think we may well see an upturn in form of players like Raul, Jonny and RAN if we had a manager they liked and respected and that used them in the "right" way.
Absolutely we don't need a full on rebuild, that's highly dangerous imo. Unfortunately we appear to be about to jettison most of the spine of our team. I'm hoping the rumours are way out.I'm going against the grain a little here, but I'm not sure such a severe rebuild is required. (as in the talk of getting rid of around 8-10 players)

I can't see much else happening tbh, either way. Marcal is off, Ruddy is off, Saiss is off, Boly is done, Neves is off, Moutinho is possibly off (I hope we keep him if Neves is going), We're apparently willing to listen to reasonable offers for Raul, Podence is actively looking to go, and possibly Jonny too, as well as Trincao being sent back to Barca. That's a significant number, and there remain question marks against a significant number of others - Hoever, Coady for example. One issue with a smaller squad, means the rebuild is more significant when needed. This is a risk of not evolving over the past 3 years.I'm going against the grain a little here, but I'm not sure such a severe rebuild is required. When has a massive rebuild where you replace most of your starters all in one go ever worked?Depends what the club wants doesn't it?
Back to conservative football that the players thrive under or do they push through a turbulent change and revitalise the squad to go in a different direction.
Option A is undoubtedly easier and cheaper.
