Summer 2022 Transfer Window

Apparently Emil Forsberg wants out of Leipzig. I'd be all over that.
I like the look of him more than Traore. Probably doesn't fit our cheap and cheerful young backup player M. O. though.

Anyone scouring the papers this morning?
Neighbour just told me that Neves has been on the radio (don't know where) saying he didn't expect to be here! Fully expected to be elsewhere. Implication and oblique reference being that he wanted out. (And I bet his wife and kids did too, and his kids school).
Though I kind of knew it too, I hated hearing this.
That said (If it's true) it's at odds with Neto's reported remarks of "I like it here, I like the way we play, and I like the whole changing room atmosphere".
And then Nunes spoke to the Portugese lads before he signed...

Wolverhampton Wanderers have agreed a £15 million fee with Stuttgart for the striker Sasa Kalajdzic.

Wolves had been in talks with the Bundesliga club for more than a week but there was an initial gap in valuation, with the German club initially wanting more than £21 million. However, a deal has been struck in which Wolves will pay an initial £15 million, with the potential for add-ons.

This from the Sunday Times. (Found whilst looking for the Neves interview.)

Would be surprised if we just start lumping it up to Sasa, I've only seen the obligatory youtube stuff but he seems to prefer to play it on the ground.

Just because he expected to be sold doesn't necessarily mean he wanted out. As I understand it he and his family like it here. I'm told they've moved back into their old (rented) house which seems an unlikely thing to do if he was still leaving before the end of the window.

My best guess is that he was lined up to go to Barcelona as a replacement for De Jong but since his Man U transfer hasn't happened the deal hasn't materialised. No other Champions League club came in for him so he's happy to stay here.

Hossem Aouar would be my choice. Available and can play as an 8 or 10.
Isn't he available for about €15m too? Forget Traore, sign him and sell Donk for the same price.

24 years old with top class experience. Would be an ideal Moutinho replacement for now and the future.
