Along with a fair chunk of players we've had at the club since Nuno took over, Coady will always be highly thought of here, but we have to move on and I'm sure he still has a lot to offer to the right team and setup
Yeah my Son keeps telling me the same but it’s such a pisser seeing him play for someone else, I thought he’d finish his career with us.If we did go that way (we shouldn't) then absolutely no reason why Collins couldn't play where Coady did and then you just pick Boly or Toti on the left of the three.
It's very sad because he and Nuno were Wolves from 2017 on, but we simply don't need him and we definitely don't need to dick him about.
Not this season he won't as he's on loan.Sad to see. A player who got every ounce out of his natural ability, fantastic leader and by all accounts an all around top bloke. Gutted to see him go but the right move for everyone. Hope he gets the fantastic reception he deserves does come back as an opposition player.
He will be there when Everton play us. Be amazed if he stays away because he can't playNot this season he won't as he's on loan.
I didn't - if Coady had finished his career with us it would have meant either a career ending injury or a slow decline. We have needed an upgrade on Coady for at least two years. Nuno set up the side to make best use of his ability, particularly his passing to the wing backs. He is not great defensively and we no longer use his passing ability. Neves would be as good, probably better, in that position now.Yeah my Son keeps telling me the same but it’s such a pisser seeing him play for someone else, I thought he’d finish his career with us.
You never know with our dealings in the market. Maybe didn’t bother putting in the ‘cannot play against former club’ clause. Not this season he won't as he's on loan.
It's not a clause it's a PL ruleYou never know with our dealings in the market. Maybe didn’t bother putting in the ‘cannot play against former club’ clause.
Echo what majority have said. How’s with best wishes, great servant to the club through a great period. Time for the team try and develop and he simply didn’t fit that
The clause is something we can't leave out.You never know with our dealings in the market. Maybe didn’t bother putting in the ‘cannot play against former club’ clause.
Would welcome him back as a coach. I hope he comes back home eventually.Yeah my Son keeps telling me the same but it’s such a pisser seeing him play for someone else, I thought he’d finish his career with us.
Imagine if at the end of the Lambert season someone had told you we'd get £25m for Coady* and Doherty in total.
*expect the deal quickly becomes obligation as he long as he plays enough and they don't get relegated
Well, not really. As Doherty has shown he wasn't actually worth very much as he's shit, and Coady is a very niche player who's pushing 30.And that in reality, that we should've been getting more...
Wasn’t aware of that! Thought it was an option. Ta.It's not a clause it's a PL rule
A bit harsh but that's football i supposeI didn't - if Coady had finished his career with us it would have meant either a career ending injury or a slow decline. He's gone, he goes with fond memories, but he is an Everton player now.
