Spoilt Princesses moaning about Media Coverage of Wolves

Hope he's a fan of Napa Valley Pinto Noir 😬

Few little bits of new info on the E&S podcast, worth a listen.

* We were about to bring Joleon Lescott in as a defensive coach under GON, but Ipswich result put pay to that.
* We tried to sign Matt O'Riley from Brighton, but he chose Marseille over us.
* JSL is on £75k at Wolves, Newcastle offered him £110k and it was agreed.

Other bits about Uche and Vitor too.

I like Judah, seems a good, genuine bloke, i always enjoyed his podcasts with Liam and Tim, didn't always agree with some of his takes, but it was always a decent hour or so in my week. Oh and so what if he drinks wine.

I think his wife is wealthy, he also is a shit hot Poker player.

(Bit lazy with his post there though with the amount of "-"s in that post, I think he had Chat GPT to help him out..)

"You have to hand it to Vinny Clarke".

Fuck off Nathan.

Madeley with an absolute load of bollocks article about how we should "never play a back four in the PL".

1) Ever? As in literally forever? Irrespective of playing squad, manager, tactical trends, the opposition? Why does this only apply to Wolves and not a single other club? Don't be so bloody stupid.

2) Gets it wrong on Lage by saying he started with a back four and changed it after leaking goals. Not unless you count pre-season he didn't. He played three CHs for his entire first season. Lage failed regardless as he's shit and a tosser who fell out with everyone.

3) Says Lopetegui "came closest to making it work" but he "often switched to a five". He didn't come close, he did make it work. We played a back four and stayed up after being bottom of the league. He also didn't often switch to a five, that's just not true.

4) Pins the blame on Saturday on the formation. I think we mostly agree that it was the wrong game to make the switch but a) you could argue he has nothing to lose, b) it's the personnel that was the issue, and c) it was individual errors that put us behind the 8 ball, they could have happened in any formation, when it's Doherty who's spent a career doing that and Mosquera who charges around like a lunatic all the time.

5) Says the second half proves we should never change it. Nothing to do with Chelsea being 3-0 up and taking their foot off the gas, no sir.

6) What about all the home games in the last five years where we've had three centre halves holding hands, looking after one striker, and we create nothing? What about all the times in Edwards' reign where he's started a back three, we've gone behind, changed to a four and looked more threatening?

Really poor stuff from a paywalled site.

I cancelled my subscription )which ran out in January) as they wanted to charge me £60 to renew it. The Wolves stuff has always been shite even before part time Steve and I only had it really for the NFL. Anyway for whatever reason two weeks later I still have full access to articles using the app.

I'll dance the same stupid dance I do every year, press cancel and then they'll offer it to me for £30 a year or something and that's it for another year.

I do like most of the stuff they do on other clubs (unless it's Spiers [still crap], Michael Cox or Carl Anka) and I use it just enough to justify that level of cost.

They tend to taper off the coverage as soon as a club goes down to the Championship (even what you'd consider big clubs for that level - Albion don't even have a reporter now, that was Madeley's old job, if you look at Norwich's page it's pretty much all stuff about Josh Sargent and no general coverage week by week, let alone day by day), so we'll see what they do with us. Part Time Steve could be Job Centre Steve.
