Societal collapse?

kinda hoping that the 2 recent social media cases in the US embolden governments to take the tech bro scumbags to task somewhat.

It's fake. Crazy Liz was too busy in the US slagging off the UK to a bunch of right wing nut jobs instead.

Huge protest in Epsom last night in response to the appalling gang rape of a young woman on Saturday night.

I didn’t realise something was organised until out cycling about 6 and the roads were gridlocked in every direction. Headed to the High Street and it was quite a sight. Thought the protestors by and large were extremely measured given the outrage at what has happened and the fury at the perceived way this is or isn’t being handled. All that said large police numbers in riot gear with shields etc probably helped keep a lid on things.

Must be very difficult for the authorities to balance not compromising the investigation with maintaining public order whilst trying to avoid accusations of a cover up.

Seems to take on a new level of emotion when something like that is so close to home and it’s difficult to keep those emotions under control.

Can only hope the poor woman comes to terms with this as much as is possible in the fullness of time and is able to eventually see justice done.

A hideous crime and I see that the protest was organised by a Yaxley-Lennon associate.
Agree that the victim needs all the support possible and hopefully see justice served but having rent a mobs taking up valuable police resources isn’t a way of helping.
The perpetrators need the book throwing at them regardless of who they are.

Some will say drawing attention to a problem the police and/or government are desperate to downplay or brush under the carpet is important and in fact very much is helping. We all know the other side of that and the true agendas of some at protests such as this one, but especially in the current climate of relentless protests, born-again activists and so on, I don’t think it’s necessarily right to decide on what is a waste of valuable police resources based on how we feel about the cause or who is behind it.

If it were my daughter that was the victim I'd want the police devoting their attention to catching who did it, rather than having to babysit a bunch of aggro-toddlers who only give a shit because they think the perp(s) are brown.
Absolutely.
