Exactly. Talk about digging your own hole.I’ve seen a few polls flying around Twitter and the overall % seem to think the price increase is “fair” and that they “will be renewing”. This forum is definitely an anomaly. It’s so weird.
Whilst the majority of fans accept it, they have no reason to change. Would fully expect the same again next season, the season after that and so on.
Without throwing out a Jacob Rees-Mogg style disingenuous argument about how the rich have it tough too, and inflation hits everyone (although I've just checked my bank account and no, I don't have TV contracts worth in excess of £100m landing there, maybe next week, eh) can the club explain how come my seat cost £514 in 2019 but £590 in 2022, but we have a worse team with worse results and worse football now? How has that happened, what's the rationale there other than "we can"?
It really isn't "fair" at all. It's milking a semi-captive market. Just so long as they know that 30-40% of them will fuck off as soon as we get relegated, and by then you've alienated a hell of a lot of other people who previously would have attended whatever.
