Given that this was in the blurb on the official website when the prices were annouced last week:

All existing season ticket holders will receive an email on Wednesday 29th April with full instructions on how to renew for the 2026/27 season.

I was was quite surprised to be emailed this afternoon (28/4) to tell me that I'd auto renewed for next season! On all three tickets.

Id say thats the bare minimum of acceptabiity, not good. Expected more. Haven't got one and not buying one so my opinion is actually worthless though.

I’m in the same boat as you so my opinion means fuck all, really.

BUT, I did read earlier that from some of the prices released already and in the public domain, if you’re looking at comparable clubs…

Burnley’s cheapest ST is £362. Their most expensive is £540.

Stoke, who are just down the road, have frozen their ST’s for 19 years. Cheapest is £344, most expensive £519.

Albion, again, just down the road. Cheapest £419, most expensive £519.

Wolves cheapest (adult) ST is £549.

So even their MOST EXPENSIVE tickets are still cheaper than our lowest price.

The reductions will no doubt be welcome to those of you purchasing season tickets next season - but I agree with the sentiment from others that it’s still not enough, which just shows you what an absurdly shit job Jeff Shi did with pricing in the past. The piss taking wanker.

Side point - when we were last in the championship (and yes, I know we’ve been in the PL for 8 years - times have changed, costs increase, inflation etc) in every section of the ground, the tickets were £200 less than what they’ve released for next season.

So for me, welcome reductions, but still not enough. If we don’t go up next season, they’ll have to reduce them again. And even then that won’t be enough for some to return due to the broken trust, as has been demonstrated in this very thread. I’m sure the extra £ was worth it though, Jeff. Wanker.

Obviously with 8 seasons in the PL behind us and parachute payments our squad at the start of next season will reflect that and be massively superior to those of the clubs you mention to justify the prices…

I've morphed into one of those dickheads that pays for everything on their phone, including ticket access.

I've forgot my season ticket before now, and whilst it isn't a ballache to go to the ticketing office and get them to print off a ticket to get in the ground, I'd sooner that this becomes an option in the immediate future.

First it will be an option then it will be compulsory making it almost impossible to let someone else use your ticket. Given most of us probably do it for a couple of games we can’t attend it will cost you whatever your mates give you for the ticket.

I think one of the reasons they want to introduce it is to stop us passing it on to someone else. Most of us are innocent, I give mine to the chap I sit with so he can bring his grandson with him but guess some could pass it on to someone potentially banned from the stadium.

My dad was asking me the other day about the cost of my ST and he suggested that he bought the ST at OAP rate for me to use. I said that that wouldn't work though I'm not sure why!

I suspect that it's more around lost revenue than Wolves caring about somebody banned from the stadium coming to a game.

There is that too though often the person you pass it on to wouldn't bother coming if you didn't offer them the ticket (in my case I don't charge, just want them to make us of it)
