We are still fans. But you've lost a customer forever. You've lost somebody that was happy to pay a thousand pounds a year on a ticket and a pint and a shirt, because you wanted an extra couple of hundred quid off them. You've not just lost them forever, you've lost their children too. You've literally alienated generations of customers, because you wanted to rinse the one that was spending a larger chunk of their disposable income than any other fans from any other time in history.

The whole thing is just completely and utterly ridiculous, and all this anger could have been so easily avoided.

I'd like to say I'm surprised, but actually, I'm just saddened by the whole thing.

For anyone who the idiots have priced out, then come along to Telford and support the women's First Team instead. It's not Molineux, and its amazing location and all the opportunities for the social element before the game, but it's the best way to still stay supporting the club, a manager and a team that genuinely care, whilst not having to spend basically £1000 a season.

In fairness to them, I have received a more tailored reply, mainly as I penned my ‘complaint’ as if they’d made a typo (“39%!”) and asking them to send the real renewal note which I’d be happy to pay. “Unfortunately the prices emailed are the real ones” it says, shamefaced.

They’ve obviously now received a fuller piece of my mind for the compilation.

Appreciate the stand, the sentiment, the unity, whatever, but unfortunately it is too late for some. I’m a proper stubborn bastard and once I’ve turned my back on something/someone it stays turned. If thousands of people complaining manage to change Shi’s mind and he drops the prices to 2018 prices he can still get fucked, a change of stance through coercion means fuck all. You were happy to treat me like a cunt once (multiple times?) so you’ll happily do it again. Stay fucked.
