Rugby World Cup Japan 2019

Don’t think I’d cope with a England v Wales final especially if we lose

I'm thinking roughly the same! It's what it has to be though. Put it this way, I do not want to be playing the All Blacks next weekend.

Cardiff v Swansea is 1 hour after the final whistle tomorrow to.

Apart from the bang to Farrell it looks like England have come through without any injuries as well, which is a huge bonus.

May’s hamstring is a concern plus Heinz was taped up and hobbling.

Love the way England didn’t let the disallowed tries knock them, especially the second one which was very marginal.

The second one wasn't marginal. It was a rank poor decision. Thankfully England didn't let it bother them at all.

The single most impressive thing today? Think back to the first game New Zealand played in the tournament. South Africa beat them up for nearly forty minutes and then conceded a try. It was followed by a second try within 90 seconds. England conceded a try and then went straight up the other end for more pressure and 3 crucial extra points.

That was absolutely vital and showed the brilliant mental set-up from the England team on the day.

Beasts. That was Nunoesque. Celebrating with a burnt kebab.

In terms of what the flight is, the price is about right. First class return to Narita would be about £6k a ticket normally.

The other thing they dont mention is it is Narita rather than Haneda. A fair distance out. Taxi fare from Narita to Tokyo is notorious. Something like about £200.

Just back from my breakfast rugby viewing at my daughter's house. There were 6 England supporters and 1 NZ supporter.

That's the first part of my forecast completed.
England were immense as everyone has said. What a performance. The defence was awesome and NZ never looked close to scoring. 19 turnovers.

So it's on to tomorrow and support Wales against SA to complete the final line-up I forecasted from the start.

BTW Jeff Stelling just fucking absolutely OWNED Le Tiss

Jeff - "so Matt, Southampton 0 Leicester 9, what happened"

Le Tiss - "didn't you see the rugby this morning - we are in the world cup final"

Jeff - "And Leicester scored more than the All Blacks"

Was up (just) and watching, but also recovering from last nights bowls club annual dinner/presentation evening so didn't comment at the time.

An awesome performance (which it was always going to have to be v NZ) - the best game I have seen England play for a very long time.

BBC appear to indicate that Sam Underhill was MoTM, but tbh a lot of others could lay claim to that - particularly Itoje.

Bring on the final (would like Wales to get there, but lose in a tight game)

I want the trophy returning to the Northern Hemisphere. It has been too long. I want it to come to Wales though!

I am absolutely bricking it about the semi-final tomorrow already. God knows what I would be like about a final against England if we get there.

Great game yesterday, even got me to turn over from the GB test.

Hoping for more of the same today, come on Cymru!

From a neutral point of view would be nice to see some decent rugby.

I agree Tredders. This looks like two nervous teams trying to feel their way into a big game. None of yesterday's fireworks.

SA butchered a massive chance there.

Put it this way - I will HAPPILY take 3 South African points there.

Mind you I think Moriarty was taken out in the air when he dropped the ball. Couldn't see if one foot was on the ground on the tv angle though so I will give Garces the benefit of the doubt.

Looked more like he’d already overbalanced himself before the contact. Thought it was pretty good refereeing
