QuestionTime With PPB, Instead of Sir Robin Day .

Can you remember your first bicycle ?

I think it was a Raleigh twenty.

If you are a pet owner, do you buy it a Christmas present ?

We have never had pets in our house.

Finish this. 'The world would be a better place if ..... '

...war was a thing of the past.

Can you remember the name of your very first ever school friend from when you were little ?

Yes, Peter "Percy" Breslin, and though he now lives in Kent, we do keep in touch.

Black Jacks or Fruit Salads ?

Fruit salads.

Are you more worried about doing things right, or doing the right thing ?
I worry more about doing the right thing, but I spend more time trying doing things right.

How many times have you been done for speeding ?
Well, funny thing is I got done twice not long after I passed my test (1999) and have been clean since then up until a couple of months ago. Got caught in October and November this year! Am going to a speed awareness course in December and have to take the 3 points for the other one. £180 lighter as a result too!

What's one thing that you would never do ?
Put my family in danger.

If you own darts, what flights are on your darts right now ?
N/A

Do you like Tacos ?
They're OK I suppose. Prefer enchildas or burritos. I more of a fan of sloppy food than crispy - apart from crisps of course.

Do you ever go a whole day without switching on the tele ?
No way!

You order a Coffee Liqueur, which would you order , or don't you like them ?
No thanks. I'll have a pint please.

Both, I suppose, ethically I would do the right thing, but I am anal about doing things right.

How many times have you been done for speeding ?
I'll go ten years without and then got done twice last Christmas

What's one thing that you would never do ?
I would be mortified if I thought I'd actually upset anyone.

If you own darts, what flights are on your darts right now ?
Don't own any, the other TWF members will explain why

Do you like Tacos ?
Yes, but I get in such a state eating them

Do you ever go a whole day without switching on the tele ?
Could do, but it rarely happens

You order a Coffee Liqueur, which would you order , or don't you like them ?
Coffee with Tia Maria to round off the evening, and then its beddy bed time :)
.

I always try to do the right thing.

How many times have you been done for speeding ?

None, seeing as I don't drive.

What's one thing that you would never do ?

Try a cigarette.

If you own darts, what flights are on your darts right now ?

Steve Bull.

Do you like Tacos ?

No, I find them massively overrated personally. Never something I'd choose to eat. I find them boring.

Do you ever go a whole day without switching on the tele ?

I could, but I find that I tend to do so for the kids more often than for myself. If I have my guitar/uke and/or a pub trip to look forward to, I could easily get through the day without telly.

Can't stand coffee liquers. Yuck.

The taco question seems to be getting some mixed responses but it seems a bit of an odd one to me, unless you've got some irrational hatred of tortillas surely you could put together something that you'd like in taco form? Would anyone have answered no if the question was 'do you like sandwiches?' surely they're both dependant on what's in them to make a real judgement?

What can I say...PPB knows how to ask the tough questions.Which is why it was not about sandwiches.

Is a taco not loosely a form of sandwich? It's a type of bread wrapped around a filling.

I like bread a lot more than I like tortillas. Furthermore, I wouldn't class a sarnie as anything other than a snack. Not a full meal anyway. Unless it's one of those ginormous mega-sarnies but they're just silly.

I'd also argue the variety of things you could put in a sarnie is more than would be suitable with tortillas. Unless you were Bear and threw a load of sauce over it anyway.

I think both have their pros and cons, like you say there are some things you'd put in a sandwich that you probably wouldn't go for in a taco but likewise i think there are things you could do in a taco that wouldn't work in a sandwich, either flavour wise or logistically. Just seems a little strange that so many people have completely dismissed such a flexible food type completely out the window when there are so many potential variants that surely there would be something out there that you would like, think someone said they preferred sloppy food to crispy food? You can have soft tacos and you could put chilli or such in there to make it extra sloppy.

I love chilli with rice. I don't like it anywhere near as much with tacos. I'm just not that fussed about the flavour/texture. Plenty of people I know love the things but I'm simply not a big fan of them. I don't think they're THAT flexible, personally.

They're flexible man! Deal with it. ;)

How many times did you giggle typing this? :)

I think they're equally as flexible as any other sandwich type snack really, you're limiting yourself to one type of bread though so you're obviously not going to get the full range of options but you can still choose between hot/cold, soft/crispy, cooked with filling inside or shells pre cooked and that's before you even consider what it is you're putting in there. Perhaps there's a bit of a mindset that because they're a Mexican thing you don't differentiate from that too much so some people limit themselves to chilli or some other spicy meat as the filling when really there's plenty of scope for different stuff in there.

I think the humble taco is getting a bit of a short thrift here.
