I think we have to be realistic and say most games will be like this until January. We need points on the board and until we sign some better defenders perhaps we can't open up?

I think Lambert would settle for a goalless draw. Preston have been on a decent run recently, so it would be good if we could keep them at bay.

I'm not panicking, i feel pretty sure Lambert would give instructions to tighten up, and the side he selected seemed to confirm that. Hopefully now he will feel able to swop Saville for a footballer, and we will see Dicko on.

Lamberts first task was to stop the rot at the back & give us a chance in games

So far - so good. Its more solid than it has been in the last few matches. 45 mins to go & there may be chances to get a bit more expansive.

We have been too open in recent games - would take a 0 - 0 in this game
