Terrible positioning from RAN on the goal, left Elanga with way too much space and seemed preoccupied with covering Bueno even though MGW was never close to taking him on.

Still annoyed there wasn't a way we couldn't have kept mgw
We were offered lots for him at a time when he wasn't an important enough player for us. Pretty sure we spent the money on Nunes.

Ran should have been closer to gibbs white, never mind elanga, and doyle already looking shaky

It shouldn't have been that difficult to defend.. RAN moves over and gets tighter to Elanga, and Bueno steps up and does the same with MGW. It was 2 vs 2 FFS.

One 'centre half' completely out of position, the other decides the way to defend is kneeling down. As others have said classic Nuno goal and tbh how easily our CMs were taken out, classic GON

Need Doyle to settle things down instead of trying audacious first time Hollywood passes.

You can tell already from the first 10 minutes that they just seem stronger physically than us. Wood ragdolling Santi a couple of times, Rodrigo losing out, Doyle - more worryingly JSL 2nd best to everything at the moment.

Need to try and stay within a goal up to half time.

Doyle is shite. Just a passenger at this level in this kind of system. Got ragdolled by MGW in the first 90s, can't recover when pushed up and can't beat a press when sitting deeper.

Oh, my good God. How’s JSL not scored there? Looked offside, but still.

Cracking effort by Rodrigo. More like it!

90% of this forum wanted him gone too.

People were fawning over what a "fantastic deal" we got.
2 things can be true. I didn't want him gone I thought he was badly treated ironically by Nuno and then Lage. The money we got was exceptional for what at the time was a good Championship player in terms of where he'd proved himself
