Consulting my nerdy kit book True Colours, I confirm United changed to Adidas in 1980 (From Admiral I presume) until changing to Umbro in 1992. After 10 years of Umbro they switched to Nike in 2002 who have continued to make the United kits until now, they revert to Adidas!
