Lebron James has now the most points in NBA history, surpassing Kareem Abdul-Jabbar. A few people are debating on who is better in the comment section on the BBC and my favourite was:

“My dad says he (Kareem) doesn’t work hard enough on defence. He says that lots of times he doesn’t even run down court and that he doesn’t really try… except during the playoffs”

Different eras innit. Not quite as extreme but there’s a reason Wilt Chamberlain will never have his stats matched.

LeBron is certainly in the conversation for GOAT, and unlike some GOAT candidates he actually (seems to) understand what consensual sex is!

As Kareem did it all whilst holding down a second job I'd definitely say him.

This is American culture to me

Regular season over and playoffs about to start. I guess the Pistons (or Celtics) could win it all, but much more likely a team from the West will triumph. Obviously I want that to be the Spurs - we had the measure of the odds on favourites Thunder this season, but the team I most fear is the Nuggets. Jokic averaging a triple double and they beat us twice in the last 10 days.

Thunder will have home field advantage for the series if it occurs, so they start as favourites. Winner of the tie would be overall favourites for sure.

I have thoroughly enjoyed the Thunder smashing up the Lakers by huge scores in the last weeks of the season. Always good to beat them.

Yes, the Lakers are like the Cowgirls and Man Utd - it's always fun to watch them lose! Having said that, I would rather the Lakers had finished above the Nuggets who are the most in-form team in the NBA.
