Langers will confirm that I did not expect to get re-elected. I am very surprised that I did, so thank you to those who voted for me, and of course I feel very sorry for those who missed out in the tightest of tight polls. Del, Mark and Wolf Hunting would have all been excellent selections.
Wow!, I never expected that, I'd like to thank all those who voted for me and commiserate with those who didn't make it.
In particular Gav (Boozad) who I know and consider a good mate, Roy (Wolf Hunting) whom I've never met but consider a good forum friend and Del who I met in the North Bank on a few occasions in particular the Premier League relegation season.
I'm both thrilled and honoured to have been granted this responsibility, I'm fairly laid back and pretty liberal but I also know where a line has to be drawn.
I'll admit to have been a bit over sensitive to criticism if the team from fellow fans in the past, hence the 'superfan' signature but a season in the South Bank has taught me that support comes in all sorts of different guises.
I'm a firm family man and hope to bring my experience in that to moderating and finally, as I approach my 60th Birthday it's a fine feeling to be considered a 'Newb'.
I honestly thought I'd get about 4 x votes - thank you very much to every one of you who voted for me in both rounds. All of the people who were in that final vote would have been smashing Moderators. I suppose I should thank James for his kind words and for shifting the momentum in my direction! :icon_lol:
Above all, you have secured a mandate to bring this forum together, to unite us — one Wolves, one forum in which your ambition for the club is matched by your sense of compassion and decency and duty towards other people. Simple values, but the right ones.
Today you are charged with the deep responsibility of moderating The Wolves Forum. Today, enough of talking — it is time now to do.
