Miserable Old Git Awaits Fourth Round Draw

Home tie for City against lower league oppo so at least they stuck to the rules...

God, I hate all this fan banter bollocks that goes with the Cup draw these days. Just do it on the wireless at 12/30 on Monday lunchtime FFS.

Anyway, Wolves or Manchester Ticket Shysters vs Watford or Tranmere

Man City at home to whoever the worst team left is, as that now appears to be the rules of the competition
Amazing.

Top 4 all get easy draws. Rest of PL are all knocking each other out.

Not the ends of the world given if we’re not gonna win it, we need a top 6 team to.

Going to be so many rubbish teams in the 5th round.

If Coventry go through,Birmingham city will be away at their own ground

I went to tranmere away on New Year’s Day in league 1 :icon_lol:

Stearman sent off right at the start of the game (I think) and Edwards at right back - and he got our goal!

I went the day Aldridge retired, Man City and Stoke went down.

I think Aldridge scored one of his stutter penalties.

Wasn't that bad a ground.

Goodman scored on his final appearance for us.

Superficially it looks kind of ok (with one decent stand) but it's literally falling to bits.

I went to Tranmere about 20 years ago too. My best memory of the day was the size of the portion of chips we got before the kick off. My dads mates eyes nearly popped out of his head as the bloke in the chippy threw the 7th massive scoopful of chips in to the paper to complete his order of a “medium chips”. Oh, and it was bloody freezing.

I think it was 1988 when I went to Tranmere. Nicky Clarke was sent off and we got stuffed 3-0.

Was he involved in the after match highlights?

My best mate from Uni is a Tranmere fan so I've seen us play at Prenton Park a couple of times. I remember going in 2001. We won 2-0 and Sean Flynn scored a comedy own goal.

Michael Branch was outstanding that day!

It is ALWAYS cold at Tranmere. Not quite Oldham levels but in the same ballpark.

I've only been to Oldham once when we lost 3-2 in 1997. I don't remember it being cold but it was certainly a miserable day. Wolves fans decided to try and smash up some of the away end after losing to a late goal.

Joke red card for Bully in that one. The Oldham player (Steve Redmond) even supported his appeal to the FA to have it overturned but no.

The week where we lost three away games in eight days as we were busy chucking away promotion.

Fortunately someone is writing a book about all this, I'm sure everyone is eager to read about crap teams and worse managers.

Oldham is like the arctic. The only ground that ever came close for me was the Old Shay at Halifax. Brrrrrrr.

I'm really looking forward to the book. Despite our continual failure I loved that period as it's when my mates and I started going to plenty of matches.
