Manchester City (a) 24/01 -Build up and match thread

Would’ve been so much easier to give it as well for the ref so fair play to him sticking with what he saw.

Other way round we’d be wanting it.

It’s one of those that will split opinion. A lot of time for the ref though. Usually as soon as they go to monitor the decision is changed

Agree, I think it was a penalty.

I’d have wanted it.

No, I'd have been delighted if we'd got that. Hits his torso and arm at the same time. And his arm is in a natural position.

Scoreline is a bang on reflection of how the balance of the games gone maybe flatters us.
Our crappy squad being shown up

They pass around the responsibility, but the number of goals we've conceded this season because a centre half just doesn't do the basics must be a high percentage of the total

Second goal has killed it. Edwards could have argued his tactics worked if we’d got to half time 1-0 down because we’re in touch and he can sling the big men on in the second half, but this is done as a contest now.

Hopefully Pep leaves Haaland on the bench because I’ve got Semenyo as my VC on FPL so might as well bank those points!

I think that’s just a good goal tbh
Krejci's body position is poor, means he's caught off balance and therefore a simple switch to the left opens up the opportunity. He ends up with a free shot on goal without really having to do anything. Good finish though
