Shame that. Shit goal, Jose lost out twice to Phillips, Coady had a brainless rush and Rui was shit. I'm not entirely convinced jota meant that, but it was shit.

Decent first half, still a bit too conservative for me than is ideal, but better than it has been

Agree, and hes nervous as hell too. Penalty challenge, the punch under no pressure and he booted it out under our press, there's a clanger in there tonight, we've got to speculate to accumulate to a degree.
 
Bugger, poor by Rui but how the fuck have they got into that position from our throw.
Given the opposition, I'd say thats our best 45 this season. Final pass just not quite there. How that isn't a penalty is beyond me. Semedo probably should score 3 minutes later.
Despite that late kick in the bollocks, I'm encouraged by the way we've played.
Probably Jose's best performance so far

Not really your dislike of Rui is well documented.

Players make mistakes, it happens.

Jota Miss Kicked it, Rui was going to his right switched to his left got a hand to it but unfortunately could not keep it out.

He will be dissapointed, he conceded having got a hand to it, but it was not a Howler
 
It's always the same against these. They always get the luck, even if they play shit.
 
Got to test that goalie more. Jose has been much more involved and Boly has had his best game in yonks on the left side of the pitch. With Neto and Traore (again) off the boil, I fear the worst.

What is the point of VAR - blatant penalty. Not that the hapless Tyler & Goodman noticed as they talked total drivel for 45 minutes.
 
In some defence of Rui its struck first time and potentially caught out by it also not being tremendously well hit so ends up in that difficult zone really close to you.
 
I'm not sure I get the criticism of Jose today, I think he's been decent. Not great, but decent. Other games, sure, has been shit, but not today.

No I have no dislike for him. I want him to play just like people on here think he is capable of. This season he hasn’t far too often. He is our highest earner? It’s not like we have Lonners in the sticks every week.

I've said this before earlier in the season but I think the goalkeeping situation really needs monitoring you can't afford to have a keeper letting in so many shots that should be saved. It's happened way too much this season
