Live Match Discussion 2025/26

I know its Talksport @Elephant Pyjamas but the amount of times various presenters and callers have called for Redknapp this past couple of weeks is unreal. It's as if everyone forgets he's about 86 now and his last job was almost a decade ago with Brum in the Championship and he was terrible!

He knows de clab innit...

Football fans are sentimental twats though, us included.

Nuno's name will still probably be cropping up in 2046 after our 20th consecutive season in the Championship

Candleface probably needs to run a few paycheques through Rosie the Dog's savings account again, but Levy can't stand him can he?

Maybe the block to a candleface return is gone then. I certainly do hope so, as I would love him to fail horribly there.

Redknapp has said this morning that he would pick up the phone to Spurs - but it won't happen

So he has said he is available when another bloke is in the job. Typical candleface.

My god the London bias when watching the big match revisited is unbelievable

The shows are from when ITV was regional based so the revisited episodes are the LWT versions, hence the London bias.

When they show the episodes from the 80's (when Elton Welsby took over as presenter) the focus shifts to be north west as it was Granada creating the main broadcast.

Our was called Star Soccer so the main game would be a Midlands match with Hugh Johns as commentator. Gary Newbon (you're a wanker, you're a wanker) was the host. The other games would be from the other regions as with The Big Match

Wrexham 1-0 up against Chelsea.

The amount of times we've seen Ryan Reynolds and the other bloke in the crowd so far...
