Soft and after the ref lets it slide it’s hard to overturn. But he’s made a challenge from the wrong side making no effort to win the ball. I don’t think anyone thinks it’s not a foul. Completely unnecessary to as the ball had held up and he could have got round and made a genuine challenge

He strikes a really good balance for me of relating back to his experience playing and the insight it brings but still manages to largely come across like an excited fan sitting down the pub watching with his mates.

My guess is that only happens to upgrade yellows to reds and vice versa. Calling a foul which wasn’t given is “re refereeing the game” unless it happens in the area…
