Ah fuck it, ironically enough best performance for quite some time. Had enough chances in normal time to win it, hit the post and couple cleared off the line, dont have somebody to stick it in the net.

Think of this Bosnia and N Ireland were in the same nations league group. Bosnia won the group with 10 points NI came bottom after no points at all.
Makes a mockery of the whole thing, also one of Georgia and North Macedonia will qualify also. I get the philosophy of the nations league to reduce friendlies and allow teams to play at a more relevant level but using it to shoe horn nations into major tournaments that in reality are simply not good enough is wrong.

All the other B nations qualified for the Euros via normal qualifying, so this game was already giving Bosnia an extra opportunity.

I think it’s better than pointless friendlies, but yes the fact that it is going to allow a minnow pot D team in is stupid.

Suppose depends on who fancied taking one, Doherty looked quite positive (especially for him) talking to Kenny prior to the penalties, maybe Long didnt, or was down to take the last one.
