Saying the technology is the problem is like saying Hawkeye shouldn’t be used definitively for LBW. It isn’t precise, and therefore it isn’t used definitively.

The cameras FPS aren’t accurate so it shouldn’t be used to that level of accuracy.

So poor use of the tech rather than tech being the issue.

Agree with this they’re using tech for the offside which isn’t advance enough to make a call beyond reasonable doubt, it probably only just meets the balance of probability threshold with the defending side always given the benefit of the doubt.
Those ex refs and ex pros saying you can’t be a bit offside no you can’t but you can’t also say categorically that it is offside. Simple way around it is for example freeze the image on Friday night and ask can I see any part of the body that’s clearly offside? Don’t get lines out.

No, it's the technology. There aren't enough fps to give the millimetre precision that drawing the lines assumes.

Make the lines 6 inches thick and call it officials call. If they flag for offside and the armpit is in the 6 inch line then it’s off. If they don’t then it’s a goal
