Amazing isn’t it. I thought they might have done well to get him, build up his fitness then he can produce second half of the season. But he looks so far off it

He should still have a bit in the tank you'd think, I mean he still turns it on a bit for Wales from time to time, but I guess when you've spent the last 3-4 years or so not really giving a toss it can be difficult to suddenly switch back on and do what you used to be capable of, especially when you're competing at the very top level. Going to Real could've been the making of him, and he did start quite well from memory, but instead it seems to have broken him completely, suppose living in Ronaldo's shadow rather than stepping out from it and failing to real assimilate into life in a foreign country has perhaps taken all enjoyment out of it for him.
