Liverpool took a player off after a hefty knock to the head about 45 seconds after coming on the other week. Nothing as bad as Jan though. Simple had to look at his face to realise he was gone. No doubt he told them he wanted to carry on but he shouldn't even have a say in it. I'm sure he would have understood when they explained they had to dig into his face to find his nose and he now looks like an extra from the Walking Dead

Time for independent doctors pitchside instead of club doctors making the decision.

Easy way to do it make them personably liable. Not a single doctor would have let that happen if they were liable.

Football's an embarrassment at the moment with head injuries.

Surprised they didn't drop Wijnaldum back and bring Firmino on, guess he must not be fit enough to last that long.

Lovely goal for Barca to take the lead, don't think there's much Liverpool could've done to stop it even though it looks poor from van Dijk and Alisson, the flight ball in would make it pretty much impossible for either to get to it as it just picked out Suarez's run a treat.

Derby 1 up away at Swansea - if they hold onto the lead then that will probably cement their playoff place as Middlesboro have a worse goal difference & will be 3 points behind

Of the 4 options, Leeds/W*** B***/Villa & Derby, would prefer the last named to get the final spot.

All got a bit scrappy at Camp Nou approaching half time. Milner deciding to body check Messi late after Robertson had already tackled him, Suarez having an odd to-do with Alisson, Robertson digging at Suarez and Busquets putting a late one on Fabinho. The passing from both sides got a bit disjointed, tempo was off the charts and could easily see someone falling foul of a rush of blood to the head if it carries on that way after the break.

I find both of the Spanish giants extremely difficult to stomach.
