Personally I would have no objection to referees explaining their decisions, but they are only allowed to communicate with the media when permission is given. Howard Webb is no longer refereeing which is why he was in the studio.

Can't blame them. Lambert's football is as bad as Hoddle's, possibly worse, and Molineux was understandably quiet during that period.

It is a turgid style. Not watched too much of Lambert's Villa, and can honestly say I am pretty happy about that. Southampton look very bright and busy and appear to have plenty in the locker to put Villa away.

They habitually average under 40% possession and you only need look at the goals scored column to see it isn't really balanced out by ruthless counter attacking. Easily the worst team to watch in the division and have been for at least three years going back to McLeish's time.

Forster made a terrible decision to come for the ball over the top but why hasn't Alderweireld stopped Agbonlahor getting there. Once he knows his keeper is coming he can't just move out of the way he has to block the run.
