Some absolutely superb spot kicks there.

Barrett's was an absolute thunderbolt!

Sadface for me. I like Wycombe as a club, and Phil Brown isn't my cup of tea at all. Bloody good shoot-out though. Full of drama.

I'm still bummed Forest Green didn't get past Bristol.

Bteve Bruce realises the enormity of the situation and looks for a very solid approach.

Hull City Starting XI: Harper, Dawson, Chester, McShane, Elmohamady, Brady, Huddlestone, Meyler, Quinn, N’Doye, Jelavić

Newcastle XI: Krul, Janmaat, Coloccini, Williamson, Dummett, Sissoko, Anita, Colback, Gutierrez, Rivière, Cissé.

Nothing against them but it will be a lot more amusing if Newcastle get relegated.

I cannot see Hull City beating Manchester United, and sadly for them I think they will go down.

I really hope Hull City stuff Manchester United and remain in the First Division.

And it would serve them right, but who would we prefer to go down? Newcastle would be clear favourites to go straight back up.

Indeed, Wolves take primacy. I think we'd have a good chance of finishing above Hull. I think we'd have little chance of finishing above Newcastle.

I don't. Newcastle would be guaranteed to get promoted next season. Hull wouldn't.

Who really knows. Strange things happen. I have a 'soft spot' for 'The Tigers' as I have a pal who is a die-hard 'Tigers' supporter. Plus, I always love to see Manchester United get beaten.

That is what I was thinking. I do not think Hull would be as big a force in the championship as Newcastle. Though since Pardew left Newcastle have been very poor.

If Newcastle come down they'll have little choice but to throw a load at it, as they did last time they came down - be it retaining players they have now who would be too good for the Championship, and/or making a host of new signings - as the club can't afford to be outside the Premier League and the raison d'etre of Ashley owning the club (ie free worldwide advertising every fortnight) would be greatly diminished. And last time they came down, they absolutely walked the league. I'd rather be chasing three promotion spots than two. They won't have John Carver in charge. They'd also easily beat us to any signings that we both happened to be interested in. Not even a choice as far as I'm concerned, Hull all the way.

Mike Ashley told Sky that he was not going anywhere. And he is determined to bring success to Newcastle, and will be giving the manager money next season.

Everything ok for St Pauli at the moment. 0-0 just before half time, 1860 and Greuther Fürth both losing, no one else down the bottom winning.

Some Newcastle fans are in the pub, and they are decent lads, but they all say that the club is the better in the long term for Pardew leaving. But surely the here and now is just as important?
