Should have been a red there for the watford player..ritchie almost breaking his leg..edit: was o'kane i think

Horrible challenge by Pudil there could easily have been a broken ankle.

Evans is still my player of the season so far (Stearman quickly closing that gap though).

He's got all the ability, he just needs a bit more belief in himself.

And just concentrate more. He loses focus and will misplace a simple pass or take a bad touch (which have led to goals when he was last in the team). Judging by how much he has improved since joining us I have no doubt he will continue to improve.

Watford fans are laying into the Bournemouth side on Quirk's forum. Cheats seems to be the general assessment. I am beginning to heartily dislike Eddie Howe's side.

I think he lacks discipline and that's why I prefer Price to this point.

Price bottled out of tackles last weekend. Really didn't rate his performance at all.

Price is distinctly average. But we've always known that.

But he doesn't try anything spectacular or mess around so less likely to make an obvious mistake.

I think that is fair. When on his game, Price is less likely to deliver something amazing, but also less likely to deliver a costly mistake. However, Price wasn't on his game against Charlton, for whatever reason.

I would welcome Evans back into the eleven personally, but it is Price's shirt at the moment I think.

Evans will create, score and be directly responsible for more goals conceded than Price ever will. I can understand why Price got into the team and why you'd pick him away from home, but in games where you think the opposition will sit back at Molineux then I'd pick Evans every time.

I agree although there really are not likely to be many Blackpool/Charlton style games over the course of a season. Plus consistency of selection is something that both Ken wants and we should aspire for, partnerships all over the pitch are key and we have demonstrable empirical evidence over a sustained period (across two seasons, at different levels) that McDonald/Price just works.

Noticeable that Evans overwhelmingly outshone Kev in the early games this season. He was in great form and a big part of our good start - but he doesn't allow McDonald to play his game in the same way that Price does.

Yep. When you need to be solid, then Price is the go to choice, assuming both are on form. If you want to unlock a stubborn defence, then Evans is the choice for me.

Spot on.

Although KJ was still asking Evans to play deep when he was in the side. KJ needs to be more adventurous or it's going to cost us a chance of promotion.

Would a midfield of McDonald, Price, and Evans be feasible?

Evans played as the 10 vs Reading and looked good. That would be how you would do it in the current set up. Edwards won't be dropped at the moment though. And I'm going to be pretty annoyed if Ken keeps using him as Colin Lee did Neil Emblen and sticking him anywhere on the pitch just so he stays on. Do not put him on the right wing let alone the bloody left. He can play one position, if that position no longer exists because we have changed formation (temporarily) then get him off the pitch.

I have said before that in the longer term I see us moving to more of a 4-3-3 - with a genuine front three of say, Sako (or potentially, longer term, whoever we sign to replace him), Dicko and Afobe, with them playing as proper forwards and none of them shoved wide - and those three as the midfielders could work. It's how Saville is most likely to work out for us in the long term as well. My slight issue would be that it looks a bit light on mobility and dynamism, none of them can go past a player (that applies to Rowe and Saville as well).

Leeds team at Huddersfield today.

Leeds Silvestri, Wootton, Bamba, Cooper, C Taylor, Austin, Murphy, Mowatt, Cook, Byram, Morison.

Newcastle United at HullCity (4-3-3): Krul; Janmaat, Williamson, Coloccini (c), Haidara; Sissoko, Anita, Colback; Cabella, Perez, Ameobi.

Watching the Brentford game and I have no idea why we didn't try to sign Pritchard. I'd go as far as saying we'd be in the top 2 if we had him.

Noticeable that both Brentford and Middlesbrough try a different approach to Wolves and build the play through the ten position with both Alex Pritchard and Lee Tomlin. Both linking the play rather than running ahead of the ball.
