Leicester 0-3 Wolves: Verdict Thread

I mentioned the Danny Ward thing yesterday, their fans are largely doubling down.

An example:

Sorry I don't feel sorry for this ****. He is stealing a living and can not even catch a football. I am sure he went home to a nice mansion and thought nothing of his poor performance.

It's not about that you fucking idiot. You're just blatantly not helping him or the team in a huge game, because you can't control yourself for 90 minutes. That's your team, remember. Yours. The one you want to win.

Odd bunch.

I think after he gave the finger to the South Bank vs Cardiff (then conceded 20 seconds later, after a dreadful punch)...

Postma got a bit too, after endless shanking it out of play.

Not on that level though and I wouldn't have defended our lot at the time or in retrospect.

I've never understood why fans (of any team) get on their players backs during a game for being shit. If they're clearly not putting effort in fair enough but just cos they're not very good, don't understand why said fans think that's gunna help their team.

Thinking about it, didn't he do the Ayatollah to Cardiff fans?

Great result, but an awful game of football. On another day they'd have gone ahead via Vardy, the crowd would have got behind them and who knows how our players would have reacted?

Delighted with the scoreline and 3 points, but not kidding myself we've turned a corner, everyone saying Leicester are awful but they still created chances.

After 4-5 games into the season this was a game, we were supposed to win. We did win. It doesn't matter if Leicester is bad or not, this was a must win game. We scored early, we scored often and ultimately, we didn't give up a goal. This game no longer matters but going forward United on Boxing Day matters.
The biggest take away for me was that we didn't concede stupid goals. Nothing on free or corner kicks. Big Plus! Being able to control the game with a lead was also a positive. This is something to build on. January needs to have 2 maybe 3 central defenders who can come in and play 90 min. of Premier League Football. Probably won't hurt to bring in someone who can score goals. If you're playing Larsen, Cunha, and Guedes heavy minutes you'll need someone who can play and score at this level.
Staying positive until Thursday.

More luck than judgement really. The Toti swiping at the ball with his right foot and falling on his arse was a textbook Wolves goal against this year, they just didn't take advantage. We will still concede plenty until we get better players, coaching can only do so much to alleviate that

100% agree. Toti is a liability. I don't know if he gets over excited, is a bad reader of the game or is just completely shit. I used to feel the same way about Derek Jefferson without the "over excited" bit. We are absolutely going to concede goals with him in the team.

Fuck me, Derek Jefferson, I saw him play but can’t remember a thing about him.
It always amazes me how fans can recall games from years ago, I struggle to remember much about a game a couple of days later.

I can . . . he only seemed to come into the team when Frank Munro was either injured or suspended . . . he was sh!t.

To be fair he did recover to clear it off the line.

The goal wouldn’t have stood, the winger was about 2 yards offside from the first pass and Vardy was probably half a yard offside from his pass,

However, it was still shocking from Toti despite the recovery to clear the ball

Toti did get back up and stand in the right spot though. Yes, until we get better in defense it will be up to the quality of the opposing team finishes whether we keep goals out.
