Has anybody got a copy of the league table this time last year after 18 games?

Just interested to compare.

Don't have a picture of the table but game 18 was 2-0 to Sheffield Wednesday in Lamberts first game.

We were 21st with 18 points.

Oh, 18 games! Ooops :icon_lol:

It took us until April to win as many games as we have so far this season.

Jesus that was a dreadful game. Didn't go to many last season, but saw that one in the Steve Bull, was terrible.

We're a point better off than Newcastle were at this stage last year too.

Think it took us until mid March to accumulate the points we have now. It’s bloody hard to break 50 points this side of Xmas if we manage it to.

Ironically that game was the Cardiff 3-1 game when Warnock said we wouldn't get any better but they would.

5 winnable games still this side of Christmas, I expect we'll manage it.

Bloody extraordinary turnaround. This time last year we were worried about going down. Was there ever a game last season when Lambert had Cav and Saiss on the bench because he preferred Saville and Marshall?

Pretty sure after his first few games, when fit Cav played. Took Lambert a couple of games to realise what he had with him. Just a shame he got injured in January
Saiss was different. He decided about 3 games before he went to the ACN that it was best to drop him as we wouldn't have him in January. when he did return he used him wrong anyway

Thanks for that everyone.
Interesting. A point better off then Newcastle and three better than Brighton.

It would be interesting to compare again at the beginning of January.

So by Boxing Day Newcastle had played 23 games and reached 49 points (Brighton 48 points)

Out next 5 games up to and including the 23rd December will take us to 23 games

So 8 points required from

Bolton (H)
Birmingham (A)
Sunderland (H)
Sheff Wed (A)
Ipswich (H)

2 points a game will take us to 51. I'd be very happy with that.

Interesting that the top two in that table went up automatically and the bottom three went down.
