Keir Starmer at it again..

Being in government should be about doing the best job possible and then let the electorate decide if you deserve another chance. Burnham isn’t the messiah but he is a credible politician and starmers wing keeping him outside the parliamentary party just stinks of a desire to stay in power. Absolute tosspots who are doing a bang up job in making themselves unelectable anyway.

Labour having a prime mininster who wasn’t from the south would have been a novelty.

I assume we are doomed to prime minister Wes and inevitable reform government now. Goodo.

Official for the public reason - Will cost fortune to have an election to replace him as Mayor....and likely that reform would win that election.

Be nice if a wealthy Labour donor agreed to fund the Mayoral election. Burnham isn't the perfect candidate to challenge Starmer but someone will and I don't see any better alternatives.

That's all the Labour right believe in.

It’s not, they are just deep in a mindset it is them or reform. They are mostly right too
They define themselves against the left and see politics as a career, beyond that, there ain't much there.

In terms of seeing off Reform, they've utterly fucked it.

Quite, but that doesn't mean a left wing labour will win. It's never been elected so I'm not sure why it would be now.

The greens aren't splitting the left, Starmer has pushed them out. Farage is nailed on for prime minister I think, largest party in coalition with the conservatives

Yep.

He could burn a Chinese made Union Flag in one of his back gardens live on GB News and they'd still vote for him.

Agreed. Starmer and McSweeney went for the 'fuck them they've got nowhere else to go' strategy. Trouble is, they have, and they're not coming back. It ain't 1994 anymore.

Agreed.

But they're much more a part of the conversation than I've ever known before, and that can only be positive.
Why? No disputing their right to be there but contrary to what was posted on here earlier a very high percentage of every vote they get is to the dertiment of Labour and therefore by default will contribute towards a Reform Government. If we had PR, I agree it's a good thing, in FPTP when they aren't going to win then it's not in my view.
