Jeremy Corbyn

What is obstifution?

Obstipation is severe constipation apparently, but I googled obstifution and literally nothing came up (other than "did you mean obstipation"?)

So don't then. It's not a difficult thread to ignore
It clearly is for those that keep putting up content about the man though isn’t it? And that is rather the point Tony. Despite being a political irrelevance people still keep doing it.

Nigel Farage is a political irrelevance too (perhaps more so) by the criteria you're probably applying, but he still has airtime, influence and plenty of vocal adherents, and still has an effect on our culture.

Corbyn is the same

It really isn’t. The bloke being interviewed isn’t even a member of the opposition so quite why whichever Home Secretary it is this week is doing it is a mystery. There is no mileage against Starmer in doing so.

All these elements are answered in my post above.

He's a spectre. Corbyn is used by the Tories and right wing press to scaremonger people about Labour and the left (and he gives them plenty of ammo too, as did John 'Little Red Book' McDonnell).

Even a centrist Labour Party isn't immune to this kind of stuff with the electorate forever

I think he’s very relevant in the sense interviews like that serve as a very damaging sign of what lurks in the background to those on the wavering right who are tempted to trust their vote to perceived safer Starmer.

Edit: Wot PK just said.

The Piers Morgan/Corbyn interview reminds me of the Monty Python 'room for an argument ' sketch. Particularly from about 13 mins onwards.
Hilarious.
Great TV.
Totally pointless though.

It's a forum man people can discuss whatever. I'm not interested in rugby so I don't ever comment on the rugby thread. I ignore it rather than tell people to stop discussing it. I don't find it that difficult tbh.
Fair enough, wasn't trying to say 'stop discussing it', in fact I am discussing it and saying the interview was totally pointless.
But amusing.
What's the point in asking someone a question and not letting them answer?
Obnoxious Piers Morgan trying to 'catch Corbyn out' is like shooting fish in a barrel.
Cant stand either of them personally.

I was responding to Paddy really.

Discuss away. I just struggle with understanding what Corbyn gains from giving the interview. Firstly, he isn’t going to be heading to power. Secondly, it’s obviously going to be a difficult subject. Thirdly, a cunt like Morgan only wants the interview for a fish in a barrel level of tripping Corbyn up.

Is Corbyn perhaps badly advised, as it should have been clear what Morgan was up to?
